I have written 23 books on true crime.

I have penned over 250 articles for newspapers and magazines in Britain and across Europe.

I have lectured to schools, local groups and have served as a guest speaker on both CMV ships and, most recently, P&O ships including the Oreana, Oceana, Azura, Arcadia, Ventura and Britannia. I have also spoken to the Hull Philosophical Society

I have had my books used to set questions on Mastermind and some
schools use my Ripper book to assist in their teaching of the Edexcel history syllabus.

I have appeared on radio and television including appearances on Fred Dineage's Casebook and Michael Portillo's State Secrets

More recently I have taken part in two episodes of the BBC1 series "Murder, Mystery and My Family" and helped with the research on other episodes.

It isn't all serious work, though. In the past I have written comedy for television. With my wife, I have also written items for the News Huddlines on radio.

Finally, I have, again with my wife Yvonne, written five full length stage plays including two comedies, two Christmas plays and one Whodunit.

One of these plays "Stage Struck" has been performed over 60 times.
